Commerce capability migration
Move the commerce capability. Prove the first consumer works.
Migrate one capability, connect its first consumer, and prove the transition. Give your team an API foundation for new buying experiences and approved AI workflows.
Free local reference. No account or customer upload required.
When the transition gets stuck
- 01The replacement platform exists, but an application still needs the old service.
- 02Order, customer or configuration records need agreed mappings before a consumer can move.
- 03The release team needs evidence that the new path works and the old path can recover.
A first wave your team can use.
One commerce capability exposed through an agreed interface, one consuming application moved, and an operating owner who can accept the result.
- The first consumer can use the agreed capability through its new interface.
- Your team can trace the data, permissions and failure behavior behind that interface.
- An employee or agent workflow can use the accepted path within its approved authority.
How Jextra implements the wave
01
Choose the capability and first consumer.
Agree the source owners, retained behavior and evidence needed to accept the wave.
02
Build the transition path.
Implement the required adapters, mappings and API or event path while remaining consumers keep their agreed service.
03
Exercise records and behavior.
Reconcile supplied records and scoped relationships. Test access, failure, cutover and recovery against agreed cases.
04
Move the consumer and hand over.
Release the agreed boundary with monitoring, exceptions and operating ownership. Add the selected AI task once its context and action controls pass acceptance.
Try the relevant checks.
Four order rows on each side still expose a missing key, one duplicated target-key group, two changed cells and an invalid store-scoped customer relationship. The five investigation groups include overlapping checks.
01
See the declared failure.
Inspect the keys, mappings and supplied captures, then reproduce the findings locally.
02
Run corrected and shared-defect controls.
Compare the repaired supplied scope and a relationship defect that remains even when mapped rows agree.
03
Write the first-wave brief.
Use the worksheet to identify the actual consumer, owners, acceptance and decisions still open.
Synthetic reference. Corrected controls do not establish customer source completeness, live consumer behavior or release approval.
Relevant engineering experience
Collaborative commerce migration experience.
Team experience includes contributions to a commerce-platform migration, customer configuration and localization tooling, and application APIs. Client identities are withheld.
The downloadable reference is separate from previous engagement and contributor experience.
Your next step
Commerce Cutover Kit
Run a useful local reference and keep the brief for your own team. Requesting implementation help is a separate choice.
- Failing, repaired and shared-defect synthetic captures
- Inspectable mappings, CLI and expected results
- A sponsor brief and first-consumer worksheet
- Acceptance questions and a prompt for your agent

Questions
Do we have to replace the whole core?
The first wave follows the agreed capability and coexistence boundary. The selected architecture depends on the installed interfaces and remaining consumers.
Can this enable an AI workflow?
The accepted source and API foundation can support an employee or agent workflow. Its data scope, permitted actions and defenses must be implemented and accepted for that task.
What does the free kit do?
It computes checks on declared synthetic captures locally and exports findings. The brief helps define the actual work. The local comparison does not connect a commerce platform or test a live storefront.
How are time and price agreed?
Confirm interfaces, access, cases and operating dependencies, then agree deliverables, acceptance, milestones and commercial scope. Unknown access or semantics may need an explicitly scoped inspection first.
